# Compute Epochs

A Compute Epoch is a weekly reward cycle running from Sunday 00:00 UTC to the following Sunday 00:00 UTC. Node Operators earn rewards based on their uptime and work completed during each epoch.

| Duration  | 1 week (168 hours)    |
| Start/End | Sunday 00:00 UTC      |
| Payout    | After epoch finalizes |

Each epoch progresses through three states:

1. **ACTIVE** — Current epoch, rewards accumulating
2. **FINALIZING** — Epoch ended, calculating final rewards
3. **FINALIZED** — Rewards calculated and ready for distribution
